Prospect Hill Inn - LOUISA

Prospect Hill was an incredible experience. The property is located about 15 miles outside Charlottesville, Va. The main house and detached buildings were built from 1699. The house we lived in was built around 1796, but was completely updated and had all modern conveniences, but has the look, the feeling and character of something much older. The owners were so friendly and open and you could feel the pride they had in their property. Every morning we had breakfast delivered to our room. The food was delicious. All in all, a really great experience. We recommend visiting Prospect Hill!

Prospect Hill was incredible! Comfortable, big rooms, delicious breakfasts and the most polite and friendly dogs and cat ever. Beautiful pool, walking trail and grounds. Doc was available and somehow also unobtrusive , the perfect host. And he handled scheduling our wine tour which was also great. I felt completely at home at Prospect Hill. There?s no doubt I?ll be back.

We enjoyed a warm welcome, upon our arrival. In fact, the owners even called us to make sure that they would be home when we arrived. Having owned a historic home, we appreciated the wonderful and authentic atmosphere of the summer kitchen. So many inns have been 'modernized ' to the point of negating the history of the property. But Prospect Hill combines the peace, serenity, and authenticity of the rooms with the amenities you would expect at a fine hotel. We can 't wait to come back when the restaurant is reopened. It should be a wonderful experience.

Excellent service, wonderful breakfast, beautiful terrain. We had high expectations and we were not disappointed. We had a few small details that had an early check-in or a place for our afternoon event, a safety needle for my wife's dress, and help find a nice place for food. In all cases they gave grace, skill and kindness. We loved our stay here and would recommend Prospect Hill to others. Five stars, two thumbs up!

The hosts Doc Paula and their staff were welcoming and efficient. The grounds and accommodations were lovely it felt like stepping back in history for a very relaxing 3 nights. The gourmet breakfasts were amazingly delicious. I chose to eat down stairs in the inn rather than in my room so I could have the company each morning of Colette and Rocky, their very friendly dogs. I highly recommend this B B!!! I look forward to another stay in the future!!!
