We enjoy going to Chris and Karen's cozy coffee shop. They always greet us with a friendly welcome. They have plenty of vegetarian options, and they also offer vegan choices if you ask. I love the jacket potato with homemade salads. Chris also does pre-booked afternoon teas, which are well catered with vegan cheese and hummus sandwiches, along with a fresh fruit salad. On my last visit, they had vegan lemon cake on the menu. Recently, they added Vegan Linda McCartney sausages with vegan cheese to the menu, which I had with a jacket potato and salad - it was delicious. Another update on 3/8/19 is that they had a homemade blackcurrant crumble cake available, which made me very happy (gluten-free and vegan).

The staff at this restaurant were friendly and accommodating. The vegan cake was clearly labeled, and the man working at the counter even double-checked the recipe to ensure that the bread used for the sausage sandwich was vegan. He also mentioned that they would make sure to keep the vegan options clearly marked in the future.

Friendly staff, vegan cake marked clearly. the man behind the theke even reads the recipe to make sure that the brot was vegan for the sausage sandwich and told me that he will keep those labeled as vegan.
