What Jada Mosciski doesn't like about Carmichael Inn:
This could have been a great spot to enjoy a drink before dinner, but the focus was clearly on the bar. It was too crowded for them to serve drinks to everyone in the dining area. The food was average, and the waitress was very pleasant, but it felt like they weren’t really interested in accommodating dinner guests. View all feedback.
I used to enjoy this place A LOT! I 've been a faithful customer for a couple years now, At first the food was all amazing and the service was great too. But as time has gone on it has gone downhill fast. First I noticed that the shrimp that were large and juicy were replaced with smaller and poorer quality ones in their Shrimp and Grits. Then it continued on where I would order the amazing hot pork rinds with beer cheese dip to the last time I was there it looked like they just opened a bag of regular rinds and they were not hot at all and less than 1/2 the amount. They have messed my order up more than once and when I let one of the owners know the response left the feeling they don 't really care. Once I placed my order and after almost an hour wait the waitress said they forgot to check on it. My most recent visit there were only about 8 customers on an early Saturday evening and I heard the waitress tell the customers they didn 't have a lot of the things they normally served. When I asked for the manager because of my very disappointing order I was told it was their day off.I feel really bad because I want so much to like this place, but It 's gotten to the point where I 'll now dine someplace else. It 's a shame because I have taken at least 12 different people there to share the experience but I don 't any longer because I 'd feel embarrassed. I really wished Restaurant: Impossible would have helped them out instead of Z 's Fish House that only lasted about a year after they were in Loudon. We need a good place to dine here.
Was very happy with our choice to eat here for the first time on a Saturday evening. Our server, Abbi, was very efficient and the food was delicious. Portions size was very adequate and was served timely. Prices were very reasonable. No complaints. Will eat here again! By the way, the inn was built in 1821 and is very beautiful. There was a man playing live music in bar area which was a nice addition.
Wonderful experience! They have live music on Friday and Saturdays! We enjoyed eating our dinner on their beautiful patio! They have the Edison light strings around the patio! It is magical! Food was wonderful! We had Shrimp and Grits and the ribs!! Both were to die for!
Absolutely the best veggie selection around, and all home cooked. Tast Tasty. And try the Wharf Street Steakhouse, adjacent and same folks.
This is the place to be! With live music and karaoke, it offers a fantastic atmosphere. The owners were present and incredibly friendly, sharing the history of the venue with us. After the band finished for the night, they let the customers take the stage for karaoke!
