The park is stunning, offering a variety of hiking trails, some of which are flat while others feature rocky areas for climbing. There is a small waterfall, though it's nearly dry at this time of year. Additionally, there are numerous viewpoints that provide breathtaking views of the mountains, stretching all the way to Monterey Bay. However, the trails are not suitable for bicycles or strollers. What Ефим Голубева doesn't like about Castle Rock State Park:
medium-heavy hiking level, some rocks are on the way, although it is a beautiful park that costs entrance 10, parking space is spacious and has EV charging stations. View all feedback.
Great park! Plenty of parking available, even at a cost of $10. There’s a lot of bouldering and adventurous activities to enjoy.

I took a short walk with some coworkers, and I have to say it was a delightful and peaceful experience! Highly recommend!

Castle Rock is gorgeous with amazing views! There are really cool rock formations along the way, but it can be a little confusing finding the trail in some areas. There's a nice balance of shade and sun. There are some intense uphill parts, but overall it's a moderate hike. We went the day after sprinkled so we got to see a small trickle of a waterfall. I'm sure it's really pretty when the waterfall is fully flowing! I saw some families with kids, but I don't think I'd recommend it as a family friendly hike for small children. There are some areas that have a somewhat steep drop off the side. There are two parking areas, and we didn't have trouble finding parking on Sunday morning. There's a small, not so clean bathroom in the overflow lot before the trailhead. Not dog friendly unfortunately.
