There are vegetarian options available, but the staff is so friendly that they are willing to make dishes vegan if requested. I definitely recommend this restaurant. The chilaquiles and pita were absolutely delicious!

This restaurant is a great spot for breakfast or lunch, offering a variety of vegan options. You can enjoy smoothies, quinoa bowls, vegan chilaquiles, hummus plates, fruit plates, portobello wraps, and the best avocado toast in town. They also have a few more delicious options on the menu.

Maxico is a new restaurant in Los Barriles that we discovered on our recent visit in 2019. We decided to try their vegan options and were pleasantly surprised by the variety. After biking over, we chose to have smoothie bowls. Maxico offers almond, soy, and coconut milk for all their smoothies and drinks. We tried the No Bad Days and Tropical bowls, both of which were delicious. We also ordered a dirty chai latte with soy milk, which was absolutely perfect. The menu includes vegan sandwiches and bowls, with options like tofu and portobello mushrooms. The staff member who served us spoke English, and the outdoor seating allowed for plenty of social distancing. We were happy to find a restaurant in town with such great vegan options.

Maxico has been a new place in Los Barriles since our last visit in 2019. We stopped to check their vegan options and were pleasantly surprised. We had just passed over, so we chose Smoothie Bowls. They carry almond, soya and coconut milk that you can use in any smoothie or drink. We have the No Bad Days and Tropical Bowls. Both were delicious. We also have a dirty Chai latte with soy milk and it was perfection. The menu includes sandwiches and bowls that can be made vegan. They have tofu and Portobello mushrooms on the menu. The person waiting for us spoke English. The seat is outdoor and the staff has been masked. The tables were widely distributed for social distancing. This is a welcome addition to a city that has minimal vegan options.

A stunning spot to enjoy a vegan breakfast or lunch. They offer a wide selection of dishes such as smoothies, a Quinoa Bowl, vegan Chilaquiles, hummus plate, fruit plate, Portobello packing, and the most delicious avocado toast. Additionally, there are a few other menu items worth trying.
