I stumbled across this place on one of my Sashimi Saturday runs and decided to give it a try. Located in a convenient location of downtown (pretty close to KazuNori) this place is situated right on the corner. What Alfredo Castillo doesn't like about Yuko Kitchen Dtla:
Well, let's start with fish and chips, the fish was soggy, chips were actually well made. The chicken karaage was burned and tasteless. The teriyaki chicken bowl was good. Overall not returning. Stay away.Food: 2/5 View all feedback.
The venue is beautiful an indoor garden with nicely spaced seating. The food is so good. I had the spicy salmon bowl lito and it was big and fresh and tasty. It’s basically a giant sushi burrito. Fresh salmon, avocado, and other fixings have hooked me. We also got their frozen ginger lemonade. Not overly sweet with fresh ginger made it ever so refreshing. Comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere conducive for conversation makes it a great place to hang out with friends. The food was ready in 10 minutes or so they call your number from the kitchen to pick it up and take to your table. Complementary fresh cucumber water is available. They ask clients to leave used dishes at the door on the way out. The staff is friendly and professional. Parking on the street (metered) or a lot. I highly recommend them and hope to be back when I pass through LA again.
Very unique Asian fusion menu. Amazing drinks, plants for sale, and ambiance. The owner staff are awesome!! Don't recommend eating outside though unless you don't mind crackheads asking for loose change.Vegetarian options: Accommodating lots of optionsParking: Meters, lots, garagesDietary restrictions: Staff is attentive accommodating.
We ordered the teriyaki chicken plate, beef plate, and the salmon bowlOur fist issue was the beef plate was ground beef not slices in tomato sauce which didn't appear appetizing, the salmon bowl was pure red paste that had no salmon chuck to eat with a lot of rice and even more saladThis meal was just salad with rice and maybe some meat on the side if that's what your looking forThe dessert was okThe drinks hit or missKid-friendliness: No kid friendly meals just a lot of salad next to your rice and meat
My new favorite restaurant in DTLA. Great prices, great food, great location. The plants light up the room and make the environment so happy and fresh. The kakiage tempura bowl was delectable and something I will always dream of!

The place is cozy and has a charming ambiance with lots of plants that make it a great place to hang out with friends and family. The sushi rolls were exceptionally good, and I was surprised by how much fish was in them. They were fat and flavorful, and I couldn't get enough of them. The service at Yuko Kitchen was outstanding, and the food came out quickly, which was great. The only thing to remember is to return your dishes, as it's a self-serve kind of place. The prices were reasonable, and the portions were generous, so you definitely get your money's worth.
