It's a nice bar in the area a lot of beer on tap which is my good to since I'm not a mixed drink personParking is devilish as in its small, dirt road, very difficult to get out when it's full on the weekend, best to park along the road for easy exit.Overall definitely a place to go back to for a drink or two with buddies and coworkers View all feedback.
What Michelle P doesn't like about The Thirsty Merchant:
HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! HORRIBLE UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF ESPECIALLY THE MANAGER SECURITY!!! Literally got kicked out because I had a service dog (super calm well trained dog)!!!!!!!! I was just enjoying my beer when I got yelled out by the security guard and Kimmie/ Jaime (Blonde lady- manager). I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!! Remind you, I was in the outside area of the bar!!! Not even the inside! Staff needs to take cu... View all feedback.

My friend left with her dog, but the rest of us stayed to finish our drinks. When I inquired about the manager's name, she falsely claimed it was Julie. However, I soon learned from the security guard and bartender Nick that her real name is Kim. This dishonesty was incredibly unprofessional, especially for someone in a management position. The security guard even admitted that many patrons have complained about both her and her husband, Justin (who has a long beard and tattoos), indicating ongoing management issues. It seems there’s even a petition circulating to have them removed. The situation escalated around 6 PM when Kim and Justin were clocking out. After I called Kim by her real name, she told us to leave and then splashed her water bottle on us! It was outrageous behavior, particularly in front of children. The shock and disgust we felt were overwhelming. Isn’t this considered a form of assault? Justin then approached us, got in my face, and aggressively told us to "get the f*** out," creating a scene in front of other patrons. I wouldn't be surprised if both Kim and Justin were under the influence during this incident. It's infuriating when those meant to manage issues are, in fact, the problem themselves. Since this incident, we've tried to reach the owners but to no avail; the bartenders either don't have the contact information or are deliberately trying to avoid the issue. Our experience at The Thirsty Merchant was deeply disappointing, and we urge other patrons, especially families with children, to be cautious and aware of their own safety when visiting, particularly if confronted by Kimmy and Justin.
I received a chicken sandwich that was completely raw—deep red and slimy, resembling undercooked salmonella-infested chicken. There's no way it could be mistaken for dark meat. This is a serious food safety concern. I would rate it 0/10.
I was extremely disappointed with this restaurant. We opened a tab, but when we went to settle the bill, we were informed that they had mistakenly given our credit card to someone else. They mentioned that the last names were similar, which I can understand as an honest mistake. The manager said he would text the person with our card and keep us updated, but he never followed up. We ended up waiting for about an hour before we had to check in with him ourselves, and it wasn’t even busy at the time. There was no sense of urgency, and the apology we received felt very insincere. I usually don’t write negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating. If you’re going to hand my credit card to the wrong person, at least show some genuine concern. On a positive note, the soft pretzel was delicious, so I’m giving it two stars.
