Taylors Steakhouse has been around since 1959, and I've been a regular since 2017. One of the charming aspects of this place, beyond the delicious food, is that it always has a cozy, nighttime atmosphere, even when you’re dining at 4 PM. After two years, we finally returned to celebrate several special occasions. A huge thank you to the fantastic staff who always ensure we’re well taken care of. Truly top-notch servi... What Alissa Rodriguez doesn't like about Taylor Street Pizza:
We ordered the surf and turf with scallops, which they usually grill and serve with a sauce on the side. However, instead of the usual preparation, we received a burnt bacon-wrapped scallop appetizer. It was disappointing and not what we expected at all. View all feedback.
Taylor's did not honor our dinner reservation. I made the reservation on Open Table. I confirmed on her voicemail reservation line. Then I called and confirmed myself with a living person. We arrived on time (7:30). There was no empty table in the restaurant. We had our 90-year-old mother to celebrate her birthday. After almost 15 minutes waiting for a host to show up, he finally did. He claimed that we had no reservations (mainly called me a liar). I showed him the email confirmation from Open Table. He wasn't impressed yet. He told us it was a short waiting time, 5 to 10 minutes. Half an hour later, we left before my mother died from blood sugar. I ate Taylor for over 30 years. They went down and down. The owner, Bruce Taylor is never visible. If the owner doesn't care, I won't come back.
Highly recommend this place for Steak Lover's. Had the Rib-Eye and wife had the Rack of Lamb. Both great. You can easily miss this place driving done the road. Valet parking. Definitely place reservation, place can get very busy after 6PM.
We loved eating at Taylor's and can hardly wait to return. The calamari was outstanding; the lobster bisque had nice chunks of lobster. The Bogle petit Syrah was quite good and modestly priced. The Chilean sea bass was wonderful. The prime rib was very good. The homemade red velvet cake was a treat!!
Classic steakhouse in an unexpected location. It's actually been there since 1953, so I suppose not an unexpected location to them.
Taylors is one if not the only one) of the last great steakhouses in Los Angeles. The wife and I had an awesome meal...bacon wrapped scallops, salad, London broil, dessert, cocktails and wine. Everything was wonderful and the service was outstanding. Very reasonably priced!! Highly recommended!!
