Takoyaki Tanota - Los Angeles

The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Just be cautious when eating the takoyaki balls, as they are very hot but absolutely delicious!

Takoyaki is definitely one of my favorite Japanese dishes. These round, slightly gooey balls of dough are filled with pieces of octopus, known as “tako” in Japanese. The classic takoyaki is topped with a combination of okonomiyaki sauce, mayonnaise, and bonito flakes. I tried the yuzu takoyaki, and it was absolutely delicious. There are several other topping options available as well. The service was excellent, and it’s fascinating to watch the chefs prepare the takoyaki—it truly is an art form. There’s metered parking available, as well as parking in nearby lots.

If you're in search of excellent food and outstanding service, this family-owned restaurant is the perfect choice! Every item on the menu is fantastic, fresh, and truly memorable. Plus, the prices are very reasonable, especially when compared to other options in Downtown Los Angeles.

Service was okay, it was busy so they did what they could.The food was ok, the noodles could have been more soft and more thick. These noodles are thin.The spicy noodles were a level one and were still spicy to me beware of that.
