Somisomi - Los Angeles

I visited this charming little spot based on a friend's Instagram recommendation. It's conveniently located in a shopping center with ample parking. The soft serve ice cream was absolutely delightful! I tried the matcha and cookies and cream swirl, topped with roasted coconut, all served in a freshly made waffle cone filled with Nutella. It was the perfect combination! My son picked the strawberry and egg swirl, and he enjoyed it in a cup accompanied by a waffle cone. My oldest went for cookies and cream, adding muesli and Oreos on top. It was a super sweet and delicious treat! We really wish they would open a location in New Jersey!

The shop is located in a shopping area where you have to pay for parking, but I believe they validate, so be sure to bring your ticket—once it's validated, parking is free. It's on the second floor. During busy hours, there might be a wait, so I recommend going during off-peak times; the line moves pretty quickly. The seating is limited, making it a very casual spot.

Delicious, creamy soft serve in a Bounguh bbang cone? Absolutely delightful! The Korean-style taiyaki-shaped waffle cone is slightly sweet, crispy, and warm, making it the perfect companion for the soft serve. Personally, I prefer my cone without any fillings except for the ice cream, as it can get a bit messy to eat. However, if you're up for it, you can opt for a cone filled with Nutella! They also provide two hours of parking validation.

I believed somisomi's soft serving and was not disappointed. I was in other places and remember that they were something on the sweeter side. (Food 5/5) But this location has the taste and sweet level at point. I have the ube/matcha soft serving with the fish with Custard. The fish was beautiful and crispy and the custard was exactly the right amount, well balanced with the rest of the soft portion. They also give a free strawberry or macaron to serve the soft at the end. [Service 5/5]: You have to order 2 self-ordering machines. The service was really fast after I ordered. I came on Monday, but I'm not sure how it is on weekends. [Ambiance 5/5]: Somisomi is on the top floor and they have an inside seat. Everything from the order area where the blows are to the seating area looked pretty clean. I'd definitely come back.

As one of the popular ice-cream places in Korea town, it is not that bad, it is fun shaped ice-cream. They have good toppings and fillings.. the quality of the ice-cream is not that great, but tastes good.
