What Danny Rau doesn't like about Saam @ SLS Hotel Beverly Hills:
90 percent of the presentations were spectacular. The value, given a price fixe point of $150 was certainly worth it perhaps the most creative cuisine I have ever experienced. However, I was offended by the fact that there was an extra charge for minor additions such as sparkling water and expresso. Plus, the markup on the offered wine pairings were OUTRAGEOUS. I priced a couple of the individual offerings and found... View all feedback. What Alighiero Parisi likes about Saam @ SLS Hotel Beverly Hills:
The service and ambiance here was excellent. The menu was very well rounded. We got filet mignon and Royal Red Shrimp to share with salads, sauteed garlic mushrooms and baked potato. There were baskets of a variety of breads and two kinds of butter. Truffles were provided at the end of the meal. It was a beautiful dining experience! View all feedback.

read moreThe restaurant offers a unique and creative culinary experience with a high price fixe menu, which some found to be worth the cost for the exceptional presentations. However, there were complaints about extra charges for minor items and high markups on wine pairings. The food was described as both remarkable and mediocre by different diners, with standout dishes and some misses. The service and ambiance were generally praised, although some customers had issues with delays and reservations. Overall, the Molecular Gastronomy experience offered highs and lows, with impressive flavors and execution but mixed reviews on individual dishes. The sommelier was highlighted as a standout feature of the dining experience.
