Their carne asada is so so good. I only eat it here. Everywhere else is just a disappointment. I used to live in the Lower Haight was always on the #22 Fillmore. Lucky for me, Pancho Villa was on its route. I almost always get the carne asada super burrito with refried black beans: riquisimo. I've had the plate with carne asada shrimp: also very good. I've been eating their carne asada super burritos for 35 years. Whenever my daughter is home from NYC, she makes a trip to Pancho Villa for one.

Pancho Villa happy hour from 3 to 5pm on weekdays is legendary. I come here once in a while when I've been too busy to take a proper lunch break and promptly gorge on 4-5 chicken, carne asada, and pork chile verde tacos with black beans, all for $1.50 each. Their chunky tomato salsa is amazing, it has a very smoky taste to it, with huge chunks of tomatoes and peppers, sometimes I manage to use 1 cup of salsa for each taco when I'm in yolo mode. The full time security guard at the door is a good management touch to keep the place nice and clean, while the mariachi guys are always welcome to come in and take the party to the next level. Great vibe at this place!

The breakfast is only $5.50 which is wailord rancheros with coffee . The prices are right the food is delicious what a deal

The food was made to order, simple but very tasty and the price is VERY reasonable. Very homey atmosphere.

The enchiladas were excellent and generously stuffed with filling. The mushroom quesadilla was also delicious, with a clean taste. The service was good, with food brought to the table promptly. The prices were very affordable.
