Contribute FeedbackOo-Kook is a popular AYCE Korean BBQ restaurant in LA's Ktown. The restaurant offers good quality meat, with the short ribs being a standout. The service is excellent, with staff coming to grill, serve, and check on diners often, even when the restaurant is busy. The waiting list is fast and convenient, with an online system available. The food is generally good, with the kimchi and ban chan receiving positive reviews. While the meat selection is not extraordinary compared to non-AYCE places, the prices are reasonable. Parking is available for a fee, and valet service is recommended for convenience. Overall, Oo-Kook provides a reliable and consistently enjoyable AYCE Korean BBQ experience for diners in the area.
I love this place park service is not bad at all, $3. if they don't valet, they must hunt for street parking. they have a Yelp alert list. meat options are also super and really good quality! their sides are typical kbbq side and everything is all they can eat. the personal is always super friendly and very attentive. wish her soda was refillable. must get meat. cortex, bark bell, marinated ribs, pork flu and intercostal bark (rib finger). Ask for rice paper if you want this and they have fun playing music, adds the fun eating atmosphere.
Sat with my son, the service was fast and eating was amazing! this place is right next to me, so I always like to come here. park can later be tricky in the night.
Great price design for all good pieces of meat, although nothing seemed particularly marbled. the short ribs were best, followed by thin cut brisket, bark tongue, bark meat, tender, and filet mignon. the new york steak was strange white. intercoastal bark was kind of chewing and not as potentially tender as would describe online. most pieces would be greatly increased with some salt. ban chan was great
Great food and super service! they were in the position, our relatiw great party of 9. I appreciated the attention of the staff to help us cook when asked and bring us more food. I might have noticed if the background music was calmer because it was a bit difficult to converse. I would definitely come back!
The food was just alright. We tried most of the menu, with #2 being the best. The kimchi is really flavorful and pairs awesome with the meats. But the majority of the food we got was tough and chewy. Prepare for 30 minute wait time and a pretty expensive meal. For 4 people plan on spending well over 200 dollars. Service was great though, the servers help you cook the meats and they answered all of our questions. This would have been a 5 star rating if the price was lower, the meat quality was higher, or they removed the 90 minute timer. But all three are serious cons and I wont be returning, instead go to quarters.
