This restaurant is the real deal. You don't come here for glamour, you come here for good food. The staff is attentive and keeps your coffee hot in a chipped cup. The French toast is thick and caramelized on the edges, delicate in the middle. The bacon is perfectly crispy. My friend had biscuits and gravy which I found to be pretty good, but not as good as mine (that's a story for another time). The location is great... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Nick's Cafe:
the waiting time to get my eating was somehow long my hash browns, what is lukewarm proportions size were okay eating well look I would say they were medium, that is my opinion of course my girlfriend said that the omelet was good View all feedback.
The chilaquiles would benefit from having a side of refried beans and/or steak or chicken.
My husband and I have been here a few times and every time it's so delicious! I love the homemade biscuits with sausage gravy and French toast. Everyone has been nice as well.
(from Taiwan) There is a parking lot, but spaces are limited. A very American restaurant with indoor and outdoor seats. The air-conditioning in the indoor seats is very cold. The zucchini brunch and hash browns are delicious. The portions are large. One girl can't finish one portion. It is recommended that three people order two portions to compare. just.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have a good experience. Was excited because it is an older establishment with some history which I love. However, just because you’re an older, established restaurant doesn’t mean you should allow so much deferred maintenance. I ordered fries, they had run out, so I ordered a side salad, they were out of that also so I ordered fruit which turned out to be basically just melon which I don’t like. My BLT was fine but nothing amazing. I used the restroom and it was the dirtiest restroom ever; the lid to the tank was missing, the sink appeared to be leaking so the floor was wet and dirty, I almost fell off the seat because it was so loose; just gross. It made me question the cleanliness of the kitchen if this is what the bathroom looks like. Old doesn’t have to be dirty. While we were eating they started to prep for closing by loudly dragging tables past us, carrying chairs on their shoulders over our table and I almost got hit in the head with a broom handle while they emptied the dustpan in the trash that was next to my chair. We did arrive 30 minutes before closing but, in my opinion, that kind of cleaning should wait until your last customer leaves. I felt rushed, annoyed and dissatisfied.
I am definitely glad I FINALLY got the chance to check it out. Friendly service and the food was delish!
