Really good, solid, consistent food. Taquitos are great, but get the guacamole on the side if you take them to go. The burritos are delicious filling I haven't tried them all but it's hard to pick another burrito when you already have a fave? Hot red Salsa is really good actuallu hot! Parking can be tricky but if you're picking up you can park (not legally .. but sit there for an hour watch) on the train side in the yellow. Don't miss out! the lady taking doling out the orders is really good efficient.. didn't get her name but I was there twice this week. TWICE!
Without question prices for food is going up so to find a good quality and affordable meal is getting more and more difficult Now the food at Lupe 's is not gourmet but it does deliver in terms of freshness and nostalgia Got the beef, been, and cheese burrito and it didn 't disappoint (A+ The soft taco was good but in hindsight a hard taco is the way to go (B- The fire sauce that 's really what it is, spicy but a hint of sweet that makes you eat more as your mouth burns Service is fast and on point This is more a grab and go place although they do have areas for seating Overall; a nice place, local and great for a bite before or after a Dodgers Game!!!
This place is absolutely delicious and always packed around meal times. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting quality East LA Mexican food.Parking: Hard to find parking but it's totally worth it if you need to walk a block or so.
The Super Nachos were nasty. Meat was cold plus it was expensive. Nasty chips and the tortillas was super oily. Worst ever spot. Maybe years ago was good. Not no more, I rather get taco bell than thatWheelchair accessibility: Horrible
Food was okay. I have driven by there many times and always wondered if the food was actually that good. There were three of us on the day we visited Lupe's tacos. Two of us had hard shell tacos. One had a burrito. The tacos were freshly made and very crispy. I got potato, ground beef and shred beef. Potato taco was hard shell with lettuce and cheddar cheese. I think, for my taste the potato needed seasoning. It was bland. The salsa also was bland but had a good heat to it. The cheese tasted like imitation cheddar cheese. The shredded beef tacos was a bit tough and chewy no seasoning taste to the meat. Again, imitation cheese and bland salsa. Again, the ground beef taco was crispy, ground beef was unseasoned, lots of lettuce and imitation cheese with bland salsa. I love a hard shell taco, but it really needs to have taste, seasoning and definitely a good salsa... maybe freshly homemade instead of the dried chiles. Service was great. Establishment was clean. My son got the green and red chile burrito he said it was just ok. Bland. Needed flavor.Parking: Parking is definitely very limited. Establishment is very limited. To 5-6 slots with a wheelchair parking or street parking. They do however have picnic table outside and a counter with limited stools. It was clean and since there few customers on this particular day it was fast service. I love tacos but I will stick to homemade.
