Locali is a charming establishment that offers a wide variety of vegan products and delicious dishes. They have a lovely outdoor terrace where customers can enjoy their meals. What User doesn't like about Locali:
$14 for a basic sándwich. Waited 30 mins for them to realize they forgot to make mine and my dad’s sandwiches. No apology. When I got the sandwich the tempeh bacon was ice cold even though the bread was toasted. The staff gave my dad attitude when he asked if we could have a bottle of water comped since we finished our drinks while waiting for an hour.
I’ve been going to Locali even before transitioning to being 100% plant based. Their brekkie burrito is delicious and I love the sunrise smoothie. Highly recommend. Updated from previous review on 2023-04-24
I recently had a fantastic breakfast at this restaurant where I tried the Baaadasss Breakfast Sandwich and a delicious Reuben. California offers a wide range of vegan options, which is both overwhelming and exciting for tourists like myself. However, it was this small shop in a random strip mall that left a lasting impression on me even after I returned to Florida. The Reuben sandwich was the best I've ever had, and the breakfast sandwich was incredibly tasty. As a side note, I also happened to see Aubrey Plaza during my visit.
I really like this small deli for a quick lunch option. Despite its size, they have a solid and plentiful vegan menu. They also offer a nice selection of specialty chilled drinks and vegan snacks. The sandwiches are my favorite, especially the TLC (vegan chickpea "un-tuna" with lettuce and veggies on multigrain bread). I usually add avocado for extra flavor, but it does increase the overall cost. The Hungry Hippie (hummus, red pepper, arugula, avocado, tomato, cucumber, red onion, goddess dressing on multigrain bread) is also a great choice. I think adding a pickle would make it even better. I haven't tried their breakfast items yet, but I've heard good things and it's nice that they serve breakfast all day.
The Reuben sandwich at this restaurant is incredibly delicious. I'm not sure what they use for the meat alternative, but it's amazing. It is on the greasy side, so if you are watching your fat intake, this may not be the best choice for you. The staff is friendly and all of their dishes are vegan by default. I highly recommend trying it, and I might even try something different on my next visit.
I ordered The Wilshire sandwich and it was delicious! Their whole menu looked good. It’s all rather expensive though and you can’t sit inside.
