Italia Bakery Deli - Los Angeles

I rarely give 5-star reviews, but this place has quickly become my favorite spot. It's primarily a sandwich shop, but they also offer a variety of Italian specialties for sale. The bread is freshly baked and absolutely amazing. While their "pizza bread" isn't traditional pizza, it's loaded with tomatoes and cheese and still very enjoyable. I ordered a fresh pizza pastry topped with sausage, pepperoni, tomato sauce, mozzarella, and basil, and it was so incredible that it brought me to tears—just as good as Chicago-style pizza. This is the best thing I've had since moving to California. The staff is interesting and there’s always a line, so I know I’m not the only one who thinks this place is fantastic!

This cozy Italian spot in Granada Hills offers fantastic sub sandwiches and a variety of hot Italian dishes. Although it is somewhat pricey, the quality of the ingredients justifies the cost, making the visit worthwhile. It truly transports me back to the Italian shops of my childhood.
