Hotto Bento - Los Angeles

Ordered late at night via ordercolony.com. Their site said they were still accepting orders, turns out they forgot to log off for the night. End result is I paid for food and didn't get any. Now I have the fun task of trying to contact them to get a refund, except they don't answer their phone. Update: called and spoke to a women who said she would refund me. Fast forward 2 weeks, still no refund and not answering the Update: called again and they made me food as a replacement for my previous order, which is good. Food review: small portions, way over salted chicken teriyaki, and expensive, not a good combination.

Do not go here. This place is a scam. 17 dollars for a chicken katsu bento box. 17 isnt abnormal but this place served us 1 chicken tender sliced into 8 pieces and stale rice. Their side salad was just lettuce nothing else. Worst bento place ever.

Slightly better than cafeteria food at high prices. Chicken teriyaki tough like a bike tire. I feel bamboozled by having gotten food here, especially when there are tons of legit Japanese places nearby. This is not a restaurant either, just a cloud kitchen where they make a bunch of heat-lamp stuff under various fly-by-night names.

Food was alright. Portion size was a bit small for the price. I paid 18 for salmon bento and it was basically a bowl with two gyoza.
