This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Los Angeles area. I've been coming here for years after a friend introduced me to it. The family that runs this restaurant treats you like you're part of their family. The food is fantastic, flavorful, and homemade. Their Sangria is to die for, and I've never had a bad dish from the menu. It's incredibly affordable—definitely a hidden gem on the Westside. This restaurant... View all feedback.
What Tammy Andrews doesn't like about Gloria's Cafe:
I’m not sure what has happened to this restaurant; the food has been subpar for the last two visits, but since I've loved it for so long, I thought I'd give it one last chance. I regret that decision. Spending $20 on a burrito that was so bad I wouldn’t even offer it to a homeless person is just unacceptable. And the prices have skyrocketed—charging $5.50 for a tiny side of rice is outrageous. They should be ashamed... View all feedback.
What a great 'try something new ' experience! We found this place in Diners, Drive-ins Dives. The seafood soup caught my attention, but I actually ordered the Salvadoran Plate (I think that 's what it was called) with pupusas and green corn tamales, black beans and rice. So delicious (I ate too much)! The servers were super friendly and helpful. We sat inside because it was a bit chilly, but the outside eating area looked really cute. I would easily go back! Just a heads up, it 's in a strip mall that looks a bit sketchy, but it 's a cute place inside.
Tucked into a strip mall on Venice Boulevard is this pretty restaurant serving up super tasty Mexican and Central American food! There is now outdoor dining, with a cute patio out front that puts you instantly at ease under the shade among the lovely potted plants. I recommend the Salvadoran Special because Ms. Gloria's tamales are such a treat.
The pupusa’s are 11/10 and I feel like I got sent to El Salvador when eating them… even though I’ve never been.
Great authethic pupusas !! Great prices for full plate. Went with friends who have been going for over 30 years. Truly a local gem in Culver City!
Came here for the first time. I ordered the traditional salvadorean plate. It was very good. Very cute place. Server was really nice. I would try the other dishes next time.
