El Colmao - Los Angeles

My family and I have been coming here for years. Easily 20 years. This place holds a special place in my heart and the food is always delicious. Best Cuban restaurant in my book.

The food was horrible the waitress who served us literally stayed silent when we told them about the shitty food. she was so rude! Never coming back.

As a Cuban, I’m quite selective about where I enjoy Cuban cuisine. I've been coming to this restaurant for nearly 20 years, and I absolutely love it. The place is clean, and the food is fantastic. The fried pork chunks are outstanding. The service is excellent, and I appreciate that the same staff is often there—it feels like catching up with friends. I recommend visiting on Sundays between 11 AM and noon; it's a great time to go.

I discovered this restaurant during one of my walks and arrived 15 minutes before it opened. I decided to wait because I noticed they offered Paella, two Empanadas, Pineapple Juice, and Café Con Leche, among other items. I ordered everything mentioned. They also served Cuban Bread, which paired perfectly with butter and the Paella. The portion of Paella was generous; I could only manage to eat a quarter of it. It was absolutely outstanding! I savored my Café Con Leche, which complemented the meal beautifully. Although I didn't get to try the Empanadas while I was there, I later enjoyed one and it was delicious. I wholeheartedly recommend El Colmao for both their excellent service and fantastic food. I will definitely be returning!
