Would highly recommend this to anyone in the area. Some of the best food and service we have ever experienced. We even went back the next night. Thanks again Mark for making us feel at home. View all feedback.
What Krystina Lehner doesn't like about Drago Centro:
Had a business dinner here, very accommodating to changing reservation numbers. Really great food the most interesting was the octopus (picture attached) which was cooked to perfection. All the other dishes were good but to be expected for a restaurant of this caliber. Removing 2 stars because our server wasn?t the greatest, and disappeared at the end of the meal (I guess because he didn?t have to work for it because... View all feedback.
In a general sense, Drago Centro fits the mold of a typical downtown restaurant. For our dinner party that night, we ordered the crab pasta, the Kala lasagna, chicken, and ossobuco. I decided on the lasagna, specifically the lasagna alla bolognese, which comes with veal bolognese and parmesan cheese. I must admit I was a bit disappointed. In hindsight, I should have listened to my friends and tried something different; my stubbornness got the better of me. I tend to gravitate towards comfort dishes that I know will deliver, and I was expecting a hearty bolognese with robust flavors. Instead, I found delicate notes with a veal that was milder and less salty than anticipated. Miss M ordered the crab pasta, or tagliolini con granceola, which features Dungeness crab, tomatoes, and basil. I had a taste and thought it was excellent. Typically, I’m not a fan of seafood in pasta, having always believed it to be tricky to execute well. Perhaps it's time for me to reconsider that bias. My friends, upon seeing my pictures of the pasta, quickly recommended that dish. The others at our table opted for the chicken, il pollo al tartufo, which is a truffle-infused boiled chicken breast served with forest mushrooms, as well as the ossobuco, or l'ossobuco di vitella, which is braised veal shank accompanied by endive, parsnips, and almonds. I found the osso sauce to be superior to the chicken, although the chicken itself was also quite good.
I absolutely adore this restaurant! The food is consistently delicious, and they always offer new dishes. Be sure to ask the waiter about the specials of the day, as they feature a unique dish each time. You're the best!
The service and food were outstanding. I ordered the lobster pasta, which was impressive, although I would recommend adding a bit more spice to the dish. I tried adding Parmesan cheese, and it completely transformed the flavor — it was the best Parmesan I've ever tasted. The scallops and mushrooms were my least favorite part of the meal; there wasn’t anything special about them. This was my first time trying veal, and I can't imagine having it prepared any other way than how it was done at Drago. The taste was unforgettable, and I was very satisfied with the entire experience.
Love this place! They sat on the terrace with our dog and we had such a great meal! The Burrata was delicious, the Cacio e Pepe was exactly what you want and the sliders were also good. Yummy drinks and beautiful wine selection also!
Great service, good food and a wonderful bar. this is a jewel of a restaurant to which they should go when they are in the opposite. we were several times and every time it is a great experience. the baby artichoke salad and the grilled pfirsichsalate were great. the branzino was very fresh and perfectly cooked. my date has pasta with pheasant and mushrooms and he said it was incredible.
