Many patrons rave about the outstanding steaks, particularly the ribeye and filet mignon, complemented by a warm atmosphere and live music. However, some diners have encountered frustrating service issues, such as inattentive waitstaff and a lack of basic offerings like tap water. While some criticize the high prices for wine and bottled water, others appreciate the unique flavors and generous portions. Despite the variances in service, the food consistently shines, making it a place of both disappointment and delight for visitors.
Best restaurant! the steaks were just so delicate, juicy and tasty. this is the first place that has made all orders with different temperatures perfect. the empeñadas, caesar salat and pasta dishes were also really excellent. the service was also amazing, each of the hostess, waiter, bus young manager were super friendly and professional. we had a beautiful and unforgettable evening meal. highly recommended!
Absolutely perfect culinary experience. Food is exceptionally well made (or medium rare if you get a beautiful steak). Service absolutely perfect. A small picturesque location that feels like a very intimate dinning experience.
This place was an incredibly atmospheric dining venue, what with the candles/lighting and the live piano accordion music. The service was friendly and hospitable, and the food tasted great. The staff cut the steak right at the table, which was awesome. Everything was wonderful. I'm not normally one for fine dining, but the place didn't feel too stuffy to me, so the atmosphere was just right. I went as part of a business dinner, but this would probably be a fantastic formal date spot. The staff will take care of you for sure. Keeping this part from my initial post, I want to apologize on behalf of my group for keeping your restaurant staff so late past closing. I understand how much this inconveniences you, and I would give you all ten stars if I could. You all did wonderfully, and I couldn't have asked for better service. Thank you all so much.
Had a pretty epic Christmas Eve dinner here. How legendary. Everything we ordered was outstanding. Service was impeccable. We sat in their new patio area and it's enclosed and cozy. Make a reservation, get a bottle of wine and order your steak rare. Wowza.
We were here for my wife's birthday. She's been here for months. The service is excellent and very attentive. On Sunday the seat is only outside, but within a very nice tented wooden structure. The food is Argentine in nature and we started with empanadas, beef and chicken. You were the best I ever had. We tried the Rock Steak together with potatoes and mushrooms. Very delicious and well prepared and beautifully presented. Our friend had the bloodsuck for his appetizer. I took a bite of it and found it falling apart and soft. It wasn't pale and pretty disgusting. That was my only negative from the restaurant. Beer and wine are served, but no mixed drinks. The deserts are delicious and there are a few choices that you can choose from. Carlitos is named after the singer named Carlos Gardel. The restaurant is located in a somewhat undesirable area, although it is on Melrose. Nevertheless, the food we had was excellent and I would recommend it for every occasion.
