La Marea was a big surprise. We visit the area occasionally and the restaurants are fine. La Marea comes from Westchester where we have many to choose from and it definitely falls into that category. I've been here a couple of times but this time it was a little disappointing. The braesola starter which I love really saved up on the mushrooms. And they were plain old mushrooms, not the fabulous wild mushrooms they had in the past. I was amazed. The pasta specifically was salty and dry. The fried calamari and prawns were very salty too. I have always wondered why they don't provide a beer coaster at this restaurant. I have been coming here for over a year now and it's nearly impossible to find someone who can keep track of the 24 bottles of beer that you order and pay for.
This restaurant is unbeatable with its exceptional food and service. It offers a pioneering concept that stands out in the region.
They put more people in it. The music was too loud and you have to literally shout at the person next to you to be heard.

Excellent food. The mozzarella tomato salad was the best I've ever had. Shrimp and scallops over polenta were a wonderful and unique mix of flavors. The menu had a wide variety and the service was wonderful
