The ambiance of this classic LA restaurant, known to cater to the Rat Pack, adds to the experience. While some minor disappointments were noted, like undercooked calamari and bland soup, the overall experience remained enjoyable. The personalized service, beautiful outdoor patio, tasty dishes, and rich history make Carmine's a must-visit spot. The establishment's family-owned charm and warm staff ensure a memorable dining experience. A return visit is definitely on the horizon.
The chicken Dino was delicious. The toasted ravioli was excellent. The fettuccine Alfredo half order was yummy. The calamari fritte was just OK, a little under cooked. My guest had the chicken piccata which she enjoyed. Her lemon drop cocktail was refreshing. The Stracciatella soup was disappointing. The soup was bland. Overall a very enjoyable meal but I'm a big fan of Stracciatella and was let down today. Will return to try the other classics but will skip the Stracciatella.
I recently moved to the area, and lucked out finding this place. Very cozy and quaint, authentic Italian vibe. Aesthetically appealing. The owner and bartender are so lovely. The food was delicious! I had the Chicken Picatta and the Apple Crisp with vanilla ice cream recommended and rightfully so, incredible! A perfect place for either a date night, out with a few friends or even solo.
Historic gathering place for the rat pack, the atmosphere service and food at this classic LA restaurant lives up to its reputation. The dark ambience and full-time music combined with excellent Italian food served quickly and hot makes it a great stop. The chicken piccata was outstanding.
Garlic knots are out of this world, pace yourself .Skip the salad. Pro-tip there .Pasta mains are inscribed Le and generous portions. Lactose intolerants need not apply .Lobster bisque is fantastic as well. Cocktails adequate as well.
Intimate Italian hideaway. Good food, reservations essential. Sinatra ate here.
