Its now renamed and that made me wonder if also under new man... read more I visited this pleasantly located restaurant a few years ago, and had to say it was just mediocre. Its now renamed and that made me wonder if also under new management providing a better dining experience. I think it may be a little better, but...sadly still just ok rather than good. The location remains a strong point overlooking the Lorient town marina. The service was good, friendly enough, and efficient. The food could have been better. The salmon starter was good, though showed no great flair or imagination in presentation. The duck main was disappointing. It was tough, browned on the outside and virtually raw in the middle. Not asking how it should be cooked was a major failing in my view. I like meat lightly cooked, but this was very very lightly cooked. It was served with a little lettuce, excellent mashed potatoes and a very good sauce though. Some other vegetables woukd have been welcome. Dessert was glace, which was fine. Im not sure if I'd return. Its convenient to where i stay so i might. But i doubt it would be my first choice.

Our 5th tri... read more Not only an amazing restaurant, there is also a bar (which every night of our 10 days stay, brasserie and glaciers (yes, they even sell ice creams). Our 5th trip to Lorient (for the Interceltic Festival (2nd week in August 2015) and... we stayed several times in this restaurant. The day begins with coffee. Then lunch (pub style . The bar opens and sits just and watches the world over, it could be live music or, if not, the PA music is chosen by bar staff with an eclectic and great musical selection. Time to eat. Pampering employees show you your seat and a window seat continues the amazing view. The menu (in my photos is extensive and the food is delivered when you want it hot and you will not starve. You even have a few curries. The service is very good. The French (especially near the ocean love Les Moules and Friten, you have to try. Good wine varieties, but as usual, the carafe of the house wine works well with food (this is true throughout Europe). For more information, visit our website. Have fun.
