He made us feel genuinely welcome as did the young lady who looked... read more 5 of us called in at 8-30pm without a reservation and was greeted by the host (Horst-Deiter). He made us feel genuinely welcome as did the young lady who looked after us. The food was excellent with very large servings. The restaurant is across the road from the Rhine and would have good views during the day.

A road runs beside the outdoor dining area, but it's not too noisy as there isn't much traffic. The meal itself was good hearty German fare, nothing fancy. Big meat portions. My Schweinsruecken (pork loin) was done just right.

A road runs beside the outdoor dining area, but it's not too noisy as there isn't much traffic. The meal itself was good hearty German fare, nothing fancy. Big meat portions.
