We had dinner at this restaurant three times in December 2016. The food is excellent (proper Italian food like in Italy) and the service is fantastic. We were always happy with the food (we tried various dishes) and the portions and we would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Lorch im Rheingau. wenn der Kellner auf die Frage: Gibt es die Spagetti alio e olio auch als kleine Portion zur Vorspeise und der Kellner nickt, gehe ich davon aus, das es eine kleinere Portion zu einem niedrigeren Preis gibt. Mein Erlebnis: Die Portion war normal groß, der Preis ebenso,was ich erst bei Rechnungsstellung erfuhr. Der Kellner hat auf meine Reklamation nur ein Achselzucken. We arrived and were greeted and shown to a table. The server took our drink order and went to the bar area. For the next ten minutes at least he shuffled through the menu while communicating with the cook on occasion. He ignored us completely. The probability of receiving service was looking small so we left. Went down the road and had a lovely meal.
We went there on a friday evening. And had several suggestions on the board. Which were very good. Then on saturday, no suggestions anymore. We ate à la carte and that was disappointing.
Really nice place. Owners are italians, and they make the food the italian way. Best carbonara I have had outside Rome!
Eigentlich wollte ich diesmal Nudeln essen, aber die nette Bedienung hat es geschafft mir das Cordon Bleu schmackhaft zu machen. Und das war auch gut so, denn ich hätte einen Fehler gemacht, dies nicht zu essen. Es war sehr lecker!
Solider Italiener mit normalem Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Als Bewertung würde ich eine 2 geben. Netter Service.
