However, we were made very... read more We visited this restaurant mid week without prior reservation. Obviously they are more set up for weekends and large group bookings. However, we were made very welcome and whilst the full menu range was not available we were offered a couple of alternative meals. We chose Carillada (pigs' cheek), but first we were made welcome with a glass of dark rich sherry, olives and almonds. Then a plate of cold cuts and cheese appeared. We chose salad rather than vegetables, and we were not disappointed, as it had plenty of variety and tuna, and finally although we were pretty full up by this stage, we had the casseroled carillada with mountains of chips, all washed down with a nice bottle of red wine and a large bottle of water. We could not manage any desert! The bill per person was Euros 12 and we felt the meal was definitely worth it. We would like to return perhaps on a weekend later in the season.
