You absolutely must eliminate the service like in a motorway service station because it is really bad in a wonderful pastry shop. I notice that everyone is telling you that the way you do it is not good and it would be better if you went back to how it was before after all, everything is fine except the staff who should smile a little more.
I reluctantly want to write a negative review for the service, because if it says as per the signs posted on the tables there is no table service it is not nice to see the difference between first class customers and second class customers.
I'd been there a while ago and was thrilled with the products and the service... I'm writing this review only to recommend restoring table service. Self-service isn't an option in a pastry shop that offers such high-quality products. The waitresses are always there to show you how. When you decide to go to a pastry shop of this caliber, you do so to treat yourself. Standing in line with people pushing you around or risking someone spilling a hot cappuccino on you isn't part of it. It's a shame. I definitely won't be back.
Il Chiosco is a sure thing. It's one of the best pastry shops, not just in the Veneto region; the quality is undisputed. I don't understand the criticism the service change has brought. No one is willing to pay for table service, even though the staff who provide it costs a lot, yet you demand it, even if the products are cheap. As soon as you leave Italy, a cappuccino will set you back at least 4-5 euros; here you pay 2. I'm truly sorry to read such superficiality regarding a corporate decision that is sometimes necessary precisely to protect the company itself. And Francesco is certainly not one to cut costs to line his pockets. Come back for what he offers you, which is the only thing that matters!
