Absolutely a fantastic spot in East Texas! I adore traditional cuisine as well as fusion dishes. The Cantonese duck and tikka masala were both outstanding. The service was exceptional, too. We will definitely be returning. It’s clear this place has a loyal following! View all feedback.
I love this place although preparation of food is slow, but the workers are nice and the foods are delicious
Great service, great food. Huge plates full. I had enough to feed 4 people! : took some home!
Goung Zhou was okay. For starters, we got their crab bisque $12). It came out lukewarm, but it was REALLY good. For entrees, my husband got the halibut $36 on its own) and garlic mashed $8 more). I got the yellow Indian curry with steamed rice $24 I think). My husband really liked his halibut though it was a bit on the salty side. My curry was good too, but it was a bit salty for me as well. However, the steamed rice was not the sticky kind, so that was a bit of a let down. I also got a their thunder roll sushi and that was good. Service was slow and disorganized at first they got my husband’s number wrong when they took his name down so we didn’t get a text for our table). Our server was nice and attentive although she didn’t introduce herself. Food presentation was good. Bathrooms could use a DEEP clean. Overall, an okay experience…we might give it another try sometime. For the price, I expected a better experience.
Goung Zhou is one of the few places that serves sushi in Longview, and I thought I would try it out. Bad decision. When I first walked in, it was nice and I was seated right away. I went there around 5:30pm on a Wednesday evening. I was led to my table by a server and I sat down. A moment later another server appeared and she took care of us. None of them told us their name though. We ordered our drinks and didn't order an appetizer. They handed us this plate with bread and butter on it. It was really strange and the butter was sweet. I ordered sushi and it took 18 minutes for my food. There was 5 tables and 2 had food already, so I'm not sure why it took so long. It came out lukewarm and tasted as if it came from a freezer. I had the Sabrina roll and the special California roll. I enjoy sushi, but I couldn't finish either one. The flavor was off and tasted like it was not fresh. I wouldn't come here again. The prices are all over the place with all types of foods and drinks. They served one wine that was $1,500 a bottle! Overall, they had decent service, meh food, and they have an automatic surcharge on your order if you pay with card. This was not worth my time nor my money.
Very good food! I will be back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
