Pros: The food is excellent, and the service is incredibly friendly! This restaurant has a unique approach to tipping and menu pricing. Tips are included in the price of each item, which helps ensure that employees receive better wages and benefits. Cons: Recently, the owners removed the benefits that were previously provided to staff, which were made possible by their alternative pricing model. As a result, menu prices are nearly 20% higher than they should be, while staff are not receiving the compensation promised by the company. This could potentially lead to issues such as poor service, slow service, or subpar food as a result of unhappy employees.
While the food at Samples is decent and the portions are generous, their business practices leave much to be desired. I don't appreciate being forced to pay an automatic gratuity of 18.5%. Tipping should be earned, not mandated, and this discourages exceptional service, which ultimately feels average. Additionally, when I requested an item that wasn't on the breakfast menu, the hefty upcharge was applied without any prior notice. I was taken aback by the 67% increase in my bill. There are plenty of other restaurants with equally good food that don’t impose such cumbersome policies, so we won't be going back.
The Farmers Burger, stout-braised short ribs, mac and cheese, and dessert fondue were incredible! The Samples Sunrise was delicious, and the atmosphere was soothing and inviting. This was my second visit, and it didn’t let me down again. If you’re looking for the best appetizer you’ve ever had, don’t miss the crispy Brussels sprouts! The prices make it a bit challenging to dine here regularly, but it’s perfect for special occasions.
Great Valentine's day dinner. Prix fixe menu included 3 courses each paired with wine. All for 45/pp. NY Strip was excellent. Milk stout chocolate mousse was excellent. ....and the Bourbon Apple Crisp... My goodness that was aweome.
**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag of Experiences at Samples** Samples is a mid-range restaurant that delivers decent food in a modern atmosphere, complemented by a creative beverage selection. While some dishes, like the fried pickles and seared tuna salad, received praise, others fell short, notably the gritty mac and cheese and overly salted fries. Service varied; some diners enjoyed attentive waitstaff, while others felt that the mandatory 18.5% gratuity dampened the dining experience. Despite the inconsistencies, the overall ambiance suits celebratory occasions, making Samples a candidate for future visits, provided that guests remain mindful of the restaurant's policies and wait time for orders.

The ahi salad was excellent. My partner really enjoyed the short ribs, and our friends loved the noodle bowl.
We waited at our table for 20 minutes without any service. Someone at a nearby table spilled water, but no one came to clean it up. Throughout the entire time we were there, we didn't see a single server check on any of the five tables around us. The host eventually stopped by to take our order and mentioned that the wait was longer than usual because two large parties were seated before us. We ultimately decided to leave, and I have no intention of returning.
Beautiful service with perfect banter from our server. we had a nice chat, but she didn't get over our table. eating was amazing! the drinks were different from what I had before what I was looking for. we have a new date night spot!
Well prepared food in a comfortable and modern setting. Excellent beer and cocktail selection and creative touches on traditional dishes from the appetizers to the deserts
We were pleasantly surprised with the valentines day pris fix dinner. the portions were generous and the value great! The pairing were also great and having minors with us they accomodated them with all they wanted for non alcoholic drinks in lieu of the wine pairing.

Ahi salad was great. My husband enjoyed the short ribs, and our companions loved the noodle bowl.
Had a really great birthday meal for 4 on a Thursday evening. Attentive and warm service, well prepared and flavorful entrees a calm and happy vibe. A bit loud for my 84 year old parents, but not so bad that we couldn’t converse and they didn’t complain. We will continue to plan celebrations here!
We sat at our table for 20 minutes without any service. A staff member cleaned a nearby table and delivered water, but after that, no one came to attend to us. Despite being surrounded by five booths, not a single server checked on our tables. The hostess eventually came by to take our order, mentioning that our food would take longer than usual due to two large parties being seated ahead of us. We ultimately decided to leave and I have no plans to return.
Wonderful service with perfect banter from our server. We had a nice chat but she didn’t linger over our table. The food was amazing! The drinks were different from what I’ve had before which was what I was looking for. We have a new date night spot!

We hosted a dinner for 35 employees from Inficon Corp last night on the rooftop patio, and I must say, Samples truly delivered with fantastic food and outstanding service. A special thanks to our bartender and server, Ana, who went above and beyond to make the evening memorable.
We’re visiting from Chicago and couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant! The food was fantastic, the rooftop setting was wonderful, and our bartender/server, Ana, was exceptional! She was incredibly friendly, and I loved the story behind Samples. Excellent job overall! I highly recommend this place!
Elise was amazing! She explained everything to a T, gave great service and was really inviting. I’ve visited a lot of restaurants in Colorado, where the food has always been good but service lacked. Not at this awesome place! Thanks again Elise!
First time in today, our waitress Jessica D. was so helpful with menu selections and prompt with all our requests. Great food and atmosphere.

1. While I understand the concept of an 18.5% gratuity, I honestly would have tipped 10% (or less) based on the poor experience we had. 2. Upon arrival, we were left standing for at least five minutes without anyone to greet us. When we were finally seated, we ordered drinks, which was the only part of the evening that went semi-smoothly. 3. For our meals, my husband ordered a noodle bowl and I ordered a veggie mac and cheese, clearly specifying that I wanted it without any protein, as we are both vegetarians. What did we get? A noodle bowl with chicken, and the mac and cheese was mediocre at best—something we could have easily made at home or gotten from Noodles and Company. 4. The noodle bowl was sent back, and when we asked our server for silverware, she vanished without a trace. My husband and I ended up spending about ten minutes staring at my bowl of subpar mac and cheese with no way to eat it. It was just wonderful. 5. A passing waiter noticed my frustrated expression and asked if we needed anything. I threw my hands up and requested silverware. 6. We finally got our silverware and dug into the lackluster mac and cheese. The noodle bowl arrived again—did they make a new one or just remove the chicken? It's hard to say. It looked a bit messy, raising suspicions that our supposedly vegetarian dish might not have been what we ordered. 7. By this point, we both agreed that we would never return to this restaurant. Kudos to anyone willing to give it another chance, but we won't be back until it’s taken over by a completely different management team. Please get your act together, people. The food was disappointing, the prices too high for fast-casual dining (seriously, Noodles & Company does it better), and the service was a complete joke—utterly horrific. Overall, it was a terrible experience with nothing redeemable about it. And to the business manager: please don’t bother responding unless it’s to issue an apology.
We visited for the beer selection, which was quite good. However, the food was mediocre and the prices were higher than similar restaurants, at least based on appearances. When it comes to food, this place is definitely not in the same league as many others. It's a pity because I really like the concept of the restaurant.
