This was one of the worst meals I've ever had. The steak was tough and bland. The service was also lacking when it came to our main courses. It was disappointing, especially after hearing others rave about the food—they must have been at a different restaurant. My partner's meal was slightly better, but at least it was cooked properly. Fantastic food with very large portion sizes in a relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed a great family lunch after a few beers at the Travellers Rest. Highly recommended short drive west of Port Macquarie, the food was awesome.
Waited an hour and a half for a takeaway pizza. It finally comes in polystyrene containers, an oily, soggy mess in the bottom. Seem no one even has the foresight to see that pizza boxes are ordered. (Second time pizza has been served like this)While waiting I overhear a table saying that they had been there since 6pm and still hadn't been fed. It was now 8.30 and they were having to buy their kids packets of potato chips because they were so hungry. Won't be back anytime soon
My brother had his wedding here, the venue was beautiful and the food was amazing.
Thanks again for the yummy lunch at the Melbourne cup luncheon. It was just delicious.
