During my winter break visit to Long Branch, I dined at 656 and had a wonderful experience. Our server Cynthia recommended the delicious pulled beef nachos which the kids absolutely loved. She was knowledgeable and helpful with all menu items. The chicken franchise was outstanding, and the aged steak was worth every penny. What cliffgmn doesn't like about 656 Ocean:
The manager was incredibly rude and claimed that our reservation for outdoor seating did not exist. He insisted that at this restaurant, customers sit where they are told. Despite claiming a party had reserved the outdoor veranda, they never arrived. The restaurant did not follow COVID regulations as they were packed to full capacity with no spacing between tables. Been coming here for years and never disappointed! We had a big groups with lots of food restrictions and everyone found something they loved!
We were looking for something new for date night and hit a home run with 656 Ocean. The food was amazing and so was the service. Cynthia spent time and provided recommendations from drinks to desert. It's like she knew what we liked. We will definitely be back. Totally worth the drive from Philadelphia.
3/2- I was at 656 last night for a retirement party. It was delicious. The food was amazing and the service was fabulous. Our waitress, Cynthia was the sweetest. She was so friendly and helpful. She recommended the Tomahawk steak and it was so tender and cooked to perfection. Thanks to the owners, the Epsteins for the complimentary dessert. We will definitely be returning.
Perfect place for an amazing dinner. Amazing atmosphere, amazing service, and an amazing 28 day dry aged steak. My husband and I split the aged Delmonico it tasted amazing and melts in your mouth. We enjoyed every bite. Amazing chef and Cynthia was very accommodating, always checking in. I would give 656 ten stars.
