What User doesn't like about Nagahama:
Food may be good but the owner is horrible. Tells her servers not to let you know that they aren?t taking credit cards until they bring the check and that if you did want to pay credit card as of today they have a new policy to charge an extra 3.5% for credit card (points to a sign the size of a notecard) This was after we got ignored all evening. Best sushi on LI. It would be nice if they were delivered. It says they deliver, that's a lie. Every time I have called for delivery, they say it will be two hours or it will be over an hour and a half or it will be a very long time. That means no, they don't deliver. Too bad. Best sushi, worst delivery.
Excellent sushi rolls service. Ambience is meh , but acceptable.
Absolute favorite place for sushi! Always go fresh and delicious our weekly Friday night.
Had a wonderful dinner with my Gf. We ordered a variety of sushi rolls, soup and some appetizers and were happy with everything! Fish quality was good and fresh. The staff was very attentive and friendly, the food came at a reasonable time at our table, although the place was very busy. Will come back, highly recommended.
Absolutely the best! I wish I could give this place more stars, because it is a legitimate Japanese experience what Sashimi and Sushi should be. Good selection of Sake and beer. The wrong soup was perfection. I ordered the Mijod as an appetizer. Definitely recommend! Perfectly cooked, not overheated or sweet. Simply big fluffy fish, as it should be with perfectly seasoned and crispy skin. Sushi and sashimi Sampler California role was a great value. Special roles have not been disappointed! David Roll was AMAZING!! Spider roll with soft bowl collar was also good, lots of crab, very enjoyed. Now on my favorites, as this is not enough already lol, the medium Toro.. OMG literally brought tears to my eyes, I am still so happy to think about it. Super fat, great cuts, best I had outside Japan. Finally. The SWEDEN SHRIMP!! Definitely order! I didn't get a picture of the fried head, but it was fried to perfection. Light bread, perfectly cooked. The sweet shrimp sushi was plump, sweet, with a small crisp bite on it. That's one of my favorite things and I'm so glad it was as good as it was. Kudos to the boss and his team about excellent execution, fantastic service and friendly staff. Very recommended and will be next time I am in NYC!
