The staff were incredibly gracious, waiting for us even after the usual pickup time since we got caught in traffic, despite only ordering a small tray. The uni itself was the freshest I’ve ever tasted! It had a delightful sweetness, and we devoured it all in just two minutes while enjoying the view of Iowa, without any condiments at all.

They said they would file a claim as the shipper only a... read more I requested a refund from Maruhide, but they refused and instructed me to file a claim as the recipient. They said they would file a claim as the shipper only after I had done so. When I called FedEx to inquire about my claim, they closed it within a day, stating that claims must be submitted by the shipper. Essentially, Maruhide made me go through this pointless inconvenience. I now have to wait for their claim to be resolved before I can get my refund. Who knows how long that will take? And if the claim is denied, I won’t get my money back. On top of that, Maruhide blamed me for not picking up the package on time. I paid $42 for shipping, but they used FedEx and refuse to take any responsibility for the delay. I’ve asked for the claim number to track its status, but they haven’t responded. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Moving forward, I’ll be ordering sea urchins from elsewhere.
