Jj Coopers - Long Beach

I visited this restaurant on Sunday for my birthday celebration with friends. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

I went to lunch on Sunday in the middle of the day. the pulled pork sandwich and the pommes are good. the place is more bar than restaurant and still incredibly loud, even on the afternoon; everything less than a bar cried, brings them drowned., good for those who do not mind this type of ding.

Pretty decent restaurant or you can call it a sports bar, nice atmosphere to hang out and chill. We went there for Valentine's dinner, probably not the best choice for special occasions, we didn't know and now you know. If you're looking to have a nice time out with friends and folks amongst a friendly crowd, this place is definitely for you. I gave three stars to average it out. The chicken quesadilla was delicious. The wings were okay. The burger was dry and disappointing. The french fries were great. My tacos were good. Our waitress was very good. There was live music.

This place would be good if I did not have the LB Chop salad for dinner. On leaving I felt a slight twinge of pain in my gut and told my date I think I better go right home. By the time I got home I went straight to the bathroom and had diarrhea, severe abdominal cramping, serious nausea. My face was covered in sweat and I was so weak I could barely stand. I started shaking and needed help to my room. By the next morning I was almost over what ever I ate and its' affects. I am sure I had a case of food poisoning. This is the second time that has happened in this restaurant. The place has a nice atmosphere although the music is way too loud, and the help is very nice although they want your plates before you are completely finished. The location is fun because it is in Long Beach and the crowd that goes there is really nice. If it weren't for the salad it would have been a good night. I hope someone gets on top of what ever they are doing to the salads before someone winds up in the hospital or worse.
