I was in (almost) every sushi bar on this whole mississippi golf coast and fuji has the best prices from all. they can get a whole roll for as little as $5; each roll consists of 6 to 8 pieces sushi. now they have more pricier (sushi) rolls, but the quality of their food is just as good and consistent as other sushi restaurants. and if they are like me, and like to enjoy their sushi with going, wasabi and sojasauce,... What User doesn't like about Fuji Sushi Hibachi:
I work at a sushi restaurant and was amazed by this establishments reviews, so I had to check it out. Seemed very sketchy at first, but sometimes those places are the best. However, this is NOT good sushi. The rice tasted like it was days old and the fish, instead of biting into it like butter, was hard and chewy. Needless to say I was very disappointed and everyone who is writing all these great reviews needs to try... View all feedback.
Have eaten here several times. The food is delicious and the service is fantastic. It is located on Railroad and does not appear to be the most inviting restaurant, and the inside has more of a di we/cafe look and feel. But so not let that sway you from giving this place a try.
A quaint, lovely diner with big portions and even bigger flavors. It?s a nicely decorated but very small space, very clean and tidy and the staff is super friendly. We?ve only been once, but we?re definitely going again!
I've been to (almost) every sushi bar on this entire Mississippi Gulf Coast and Fuji has the best prices out of all. You can get an entire roll for as little as $5; each role consists of between 6 to 8 pieces of sushi. Now, they do have more pricier (sushi) rolls, but the quality of their food is just as good and consistent as other sushi restaurants. And if you are like me, and like to enjoy your sushi with Ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce, then Fuji is the best choice when it comes to deciding what sushi bar to go to around in this area.
The new little sushi bar In downtown Long Beach was closed and my wife was craving sushi, so we googled and found out that in Long Beach there's actually another sushi place right on Railroad Ave. well, our first thoughts were? I don't really know about this place it's kind of dark?, but the more we looked at it we realized the building was really quite nice. I think their sign could use some attention and make it pop a little bit more, but barring signage, when we walked into the building, it was very bright and colorful with a really nice mural of Mount Fuji in the back. We could not believe the sushi, sashimi, and nigiri that we ate there, we were so blown away!! and we have had sushi all over the world so somebody is doing a fantastic job there. The miso soup was serve yourself, which sort of threw us off for a second, and made me chuckle for some rea, but the flavor was wonderful! The egg rolls were a bit small for me, but they tasted fine. The staff was really nice and my wife and her had a very long conversation and got to know each other much better, it's tough on these guys because sometimes they have to work a lot of days so go by and give them some business, say nice things and encourage them because it's well worth it and you can be sure of that we will be back many times to the Fuji sushi restaurant
This is a hidden treasue in Long Beach! The food here is very good! It is hibatchi cooked but not in front of you but same great flavor AND all you can eat salad and soups. Every staff member was friendly and the place was very clean. Great atmosphere and wonderful food.
