This hidden gem of a grill restaurant is fantastic! We had lunch there on Tuesday, and we were the only patrons in the place. It deserves more recognition because the food is outstanding. We tried the pulled pork sandwich with potato salad and the chicken strips with fries and mac and cheese. The portion sizes were generous, and the sauces were plentiful. The deep-fried pickles appetizer was also amazing! The bread quality is excellent too. My only suggestion would be to thicken up the mac and cheese a bit—it tasted fantastic despite being a little runny! We will definitely be back!
The food, brisket and pulled pork, as well as the sides were delicious and fresh. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Only one down side, their ribs and chicken were not ready to be served. The prices were reasonable. It's a good place, they just needed to start the smoker about an hour sooner.
We went to Father's Day at 10:00. I think we should tell us what they were before they accepted our orders. They were made of rib, brisket and wings. They charge about $15 per plate. The meat we could order (chickens, soursage and catfish) was good. The catfish did not come with lemons, no taste really. The side parts were very small as a side of the dressing. We asked for BOSS STYLE, who was $3 extra and she gave you like 4 slices of Jalapenos a few pickles and a few slices of onion. They were very strict about substitutions. For the children in our party we asked for chicken strips w/mac n cheese as side and they said they could not do this for a hit, then we ordered 2 w/pommes only one order, but we were not charged for the other. More training would be helpful for the younger waitress.
Sides are a little stingy, but their Q is on point. Had the pulled pork and brisket. Very tasty. I should have asked for more sauce. The beans were amazing but the Mac and cheese was very garlicky. I'm a fan of garlic though. The service was impeccable. We arrived and they were very busy, so we may have waited a little longer than normal. It was worth the wait.
I ordered several items from the menu for my Super Bowl party this year, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. As it was our first time ordering, the staff was friendly and helpful, making the process smooth. When we arrived to pick up our order, we were warmly greeted by the owner’s family, who were hilarious and added a fun touch to the experience. Everything was correct, and everyone at the party loved the food. I highly recommend dining in or ordering for your next BBQ event or anytime you’re craving BBQ!
