Have skied Magic Mountain twice, once in the dead of winter when the temperatures were freezing cold then another time in the spring during their last weekend opened for the season. From a terrain perspective Magic definitely is the best in Southern Vermont and has that old school Mad River Glen type vibe. The mountain has good vertical feet and a lot of nice trails, but the lift lines were insane due to the slow two seater lift. It was around a 20-30 minute wait to get on the lift, and then another 12 minutes or so riding it to the top. Love Magic! has a great old school vibe. the Black line tavern has plenty of room, good food, and beer. Have a nice cold PBR you will thank me later. :
Small, local ski resort the locals love. We went for a concert to raise money for disaster relief. Bring folding chairs or a blanket for concerts.
Love love love. Great indy ski mountain. I'll change it to 5 stars when the quad starts running. But I love going here as a solo as you can always make a friend on the old double.

This includes when I skiied over MLK weekend and President's day.Lodge food is also just as expensive as Epic resorts while being lower quality.
March Gladness! Snowpocalypse 2023!Half of VT region no power. Got 4 pillowy 3+ ft deep runs before outage. Bummah!Got vouchers, came next day and nobody showed up. Tuesday became a recon mission and few dozen of us bat cleanup ALL DAY!! Every frown got turned upside down. And thus, the lore of Magic Mt. continues to deliver! Pics or it didn't happen, you say? Well, here ya go...
