Don't judge this book by its cover! Wako is modestly decorated; they have focussed on the food! I have visited Wako several times and have not been disappointed. I especially like the Monday-Friday lunch specials which are extremely tasty, with generous portions and are good value. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Wako Japanese Restaurant:
Yesterday, we visited this place at 2100, the stiff that met us at the door said that it was only possible to order a delivery or take it with us, although there were no such restrictions on the sign, okay. We're back today, but it's 1800. Did they say they had holidays until August 7? I guess I don't understand anything in this life and in Canadian hospitality? It's probably time for this business to go off on vacat... View all feedback.
Some of the best sushi I've had in London. It's definitely pricier than the places across the street, but the freshness speaks for itself.
I called in and placed an order for takeout here and the staff was very friendly on the phone as well as in person.
Wako is definitely an underrated sushi restaurant in London! They have all do the basic rolls along with lots of innovative and tasty rolls! The sashimi has
I had their rolls as well as a tonkatsu bento box and both were excellent. The Tonkatsu bento lunch had a generous portion of tonkatsu, far more than I expected. The gyoza, California rolls, miso soup and miso soup were all quite pleasant. It was a large meal and very good.We also had the black dragon roll was also very good, it had a lot of eel and we really liked it. The crunchy, spicy salmon roll had a large portion, and most of it was the filling, not the rice. So it was very flavourful and filling. They also have us an extra serving of miso soup. It was a small plus, but very appreciated.
I love Sushi, and am tired of the high volume low quality all you can eat places that have popped up all over London. We went for my granddaughter's 9th birthday. They were not busy, but very welcoming to a party of 7 people. The sushi was fresh and creative. The service was attentive. The environment is clean and simple. Not fancy, but not at all unpleasant. The quality of the food is some of the best in London for sushi. The owners seemed very pleased to have us there with our grandchildren, and even sent over a few extra free dishes. My granddaughter felt very special. Although Toronto and other big cities have better, Wako is probably the best sushi you will find in London. I hope the owners do well. they deserve it.
