What Alberta Walter doesn't like about Shiki Restaurant:
good food at an acceptable price but carpet in a restaurant in 2017 just can not see. it would take little to make a place, among other things small, nice and cozy. View all feedback.

We each ordered a Deluxe Sushi platter and were glad we did. Except for the maguro, the quality ranged from good to excellent and the breadth of selection was definitely excellent. We were sorry that the miso soup arrived in the middle of our meal instead of at the end as we had requested, but it was hot and tasty enough even after waiting to provide a very satisfying period to the meal.
This place is amazing! They have a small sign at the door letting you know if they have uni available that day that's all I need to know! Fresh fish, crispy, fresh produce and friendly service make every visit very enjoyable. Word of caution, you will want to drink the salad dressing straight out of the little pitcher but don't :D. I don't know what on Earth they put in that dressing, but it is absolutely finger licking (or pitcher gulping) good. As for uni, if you like your sushi you probably love uni and know how hard it is to find it and how much it costs. At Shiki, they serve uni relatively often and at a fair price, always fresh and a solid size per piece. I have never had their hot dishes, but I often see people having them so I would not be surprised if those are as good as their sushi. This place is a London must!
Owned and run by Japanese. Food was authentic and delicious. The staff, believe he is the owner, told us the fish name when deluxe sushi arrived. Udon soup was light and in-house made, highly recommend to finish the soup. They also offer some authentic Japanese side dishes. Service was slow so make sure you are not in a rush. Highly recommended.
Best Japanese food anywhere. Im a sushi sashimi lover and this place is beyond delicious. Soft shell crab is the best ever as are the Scallops. Their home made sauces and dressings are out of this world! Definitely do not miss this incredible food experience! 5stars all the way! Service is attentive and quick. The menu accommodates raw and cooked preferences... even good for vegans however who wants to dine with a vegan..; one of the top 3 restaurant in London .. don’t miss out
My family and I have been going to Shiki in London since I was young. There are not too many Japanese options in London but I find their food quality to be more consistent and has a good variety for a la carte. For a recent family dinner we ordered Sashimi appetizer, soft shell crab, shrimp veggie tempura entree, Hokkai Don spicy salmon Ikura on top of rice with cucumbers and Sake Chazuke grilled salmon rice, with green tea to be poured in . We also originally ordered Tonkatsu but unfortunately the waiter forgot to add in our order, we didn’t bother to order it again as we were full from everything. Out of all the dishes Hokkai Don was my favorite. If you ever go during lunch, they have a bento called Shiki Special that is a favorite of mine as you get soup salad, small sashimi plate, a bento with tempura sushi chicken fish dessert. Great deal for approx $18.99. Lastly, due to covid I recommend making reservations as it gets filled up quickly at night :
