My husband and I have had breakfast at this restaurant twice now and found everything absolutely exemplary. Excellent and fast service with exactly what we ordered delivered piping hot. On our first visit, the new owner, Lauren, happened to take our order, and came back...More View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Riverdale Family Restaurant:
My partner and I wanted for over 30 minutes without even being offered a menu or a glass of water. The entire restaurant is in desperate need of a good cleaning. A place to be avoided. View all feedback.
The staff is attentive, fast and very personal. My favorite breakfast. We see the same familiar diners every time we go, so that speaks for itself. Fair prices and good and plentiful home cooked food..
My husband and I have been going to this restaurant twice a week for a few years. Servers are friendly and efficient. Food is hot and well made to order with generous portions. I would recommend it very much.
There for breakfast and ordered a bacon omelette... No bacon in Omelette. Talked with Manager (asiatic) and refused to change or tell me bacon on the page that it bacon in it!!! What a bad attitude she had, never again will we go there! Price is high for what you get, they use people.
Not as bad as some. most of the time, the staff is pleasant and eager to you feel good.
Over the years I frequented this family restaurant and for the most part, I was happy with the food and service I got here. Recently I went on a Saturday. The weekly waitress was not working. My waiter appeared to be a young man probably related to the owners, helping out the on-duty waitresses. I ordered a coffee and a soup and sandwich. The waiter brought me my coffee and dairy But no SPOON. It became very clear to me that I was being served by a person who had no training in serving customers. My food arrived quickly and both the soup and sandwich were good. After finishing my soup and sandwich my waiter failed to offer me a top up on my coffee. When I asked for my bill, I was once again ticked at the credit card machines prompt where tips started at 15 . I feel this is an insult to your customer, the prompt should be starting at 10 with options for 15 and 20 for outstanding service. Since Ontario implemented minimum wages for servers and restaurants had to raise their prices, we the customer, should not be coerced into giving more than 10 for Breakfast/ Lunch and 15 for Dinner. These gratuities should be based on good service, thoughtful service, service that reflects the attitude of the server to provide the customer with the essentials for a problem free experience. Too often these family-run restaurants take their customers for granted and spoil the customer's experience by errors and omissions that occur because the server is NOT trained or disciplined enough to consistently do the little things correctly each and every time.
