Piri Piri - London

This restaurant is always great. Anything on the menu is going to be a good choice. Always ask about the daily special because it's bound to be a good choice. Seafood, chicken, pork chops, steak, are all very flavorful and serving sizes are great. Awesome customer service, they are always willing to please you.

When my husband I visited Portugal- I fell in love with the country. Lisbon and Porto offered fresh food markets, winter lights across the streets- and terrific food. Next time- the Douro, I thought! Instead, after visiting London's little Piri Piri this weekend, I might have to start pining and planning for the Azores instead. This little place fulfills all my favourite features of a neighbourhood restaurant: six ample tables, a small, bar, simple decorations- and the unbroken sound of male friends at one table discussing (I think) the woes of the world and their solutions.We were very happy to be able to see the big stove, with grill, through the kitchen door- and to be visited throughout the evening by the friendly owner and staff to make sure that our meal was good. It was more than good- grilled shrimps as an appetizer with little strips of fried corn bread, then a main of cutlets done in a golden, sprightly sauce- one order of chicken and one of pork- both perfectly prepared and offed with one of several available sides. All is meticulously fresh- and the menu is in a coil notebook read at the table, while the wine selection is small but clearly visible at the bar.A comforting, sugar-browned crème brulee ended my husband’s meal- and I opted for grilled pineapple slice with ice cream, a swirl of the whipped stuff, and a delectable warm rum sauce that was freshly prepared. Even if you are not Portuguese, you will enjoy the fine service, the ample proportions of freshly prepared food, and the conversation of the charming ladies on staff. We hope to return soon to recapture some Azorean sunlight in London Ontario.

I've had every dish and special at this place and I have enjoyed it all. The service is great, always friendly staff. Highly recommend A+

I must say they have excellent take out service . I was on my way home from work with limited time to make dinner for my family. I called ahead to place an order of their grilled chicken and shrimp. The girl that took the order over the phone was nice and also made some suggestions of their daily specials. The food was hot and ready when I got there and didn't have to wait around. Kids and spouse loved the food. Piri Piri helped save the day :)- Mackenzie
