While visiting London, ON my wife and I stopped at the Knotty Pine restaurant for breakfast. I had the Spinach and Tomato Omelet and my wife had the Egg Benedict. My omelet was out of this world, it was so delicious. The Benedict was good. Food and service were very good. View all feedback.
What Rachel C doesn't like about Knotty Pine Restaurant:
I know this place is an institution in London after being at the corner of Fanshawe and Richmond for so long but it needs to improve with the times. Not many choices for vegetarians … frozen fish sticks for the fish and chips... No idea what the breakfast is like but the ladies behind us were going nuts for some of the big sandwiches View all feedback.
I'm sorry to say but the food was pretty bad. The eggs benedict came with two hard poached eggs, a slab of ham on each with the rinds still surrounding it, which may not bother most but it's not what I prefer. The pancakes which dry and fell apart, like the bisquick-type ones. The waitress was very friendly but seemed VERY surprised that I politely told her that the food was truthfully not too appetizing. She said next time the eggs would be done to my preference. Well, there won't be a next time and it isn't news to most people that eggs benny is not served with hard, firm yolks resembling hockey pucks. I don't advise coming here if you have mobility issues as well, the washrooms are not on the same level, you have to down the stairs, quite a few stairs :
After not eating out for a while we returned to the Knotty Pine Restaurant to enjoy their breakfast specials. We were greeted as we arrived and sat quickly. Coffee and tea arrived quickly. Our eggs were cooked to perfection and served with a smile. Everything was hot and tasty. Refills were brought around for our drinks. Our server was very friendly and worked quickly. Obviously a professional who enjoys her job. We will be back.

You have to check this place out. The food was delicious and the price... outstanding. Whether it is a Souvlaki dinner or a Perch with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies; you cannot go wrong. Cannot wait to try more dishes. Thanks Guys.
Excellent breakfast choices. Great service, food and value. The fruit on the fruit yogurt plate was so fresh. Excellent omelette and potatoes. Located within the Days Inn, in lobby.
