This is the best coffee we've tasted to date. We've started buying our monthly coffee supply from this place regularly. The quality of the coffee rivals the best in London and globally. The aroma lingers in our bags after purchase, bringing us joy. The prices are also reasonable, so we plan on making this our go-to spot for our daily coffee fix.
Monmouth Coffee's roasting facility is located at Spa Terminus in Bermondsey, where they have transformed five arches into spaces for roasting, tasting, and offices. The facility is open to the public on weekends, where you can purchase beans to grind at home and enjoy a coffee and croissants. Although there is no indoor seating, you can relax with your coffee on a shelf outside or sit on a bench near one of the industrial park entrances. Spa Terminus is a hub for various food and drink suppliers who typically cater to the trade but also welcome the public, especially on Saturday mornings. Visitors can find a variety of delicious products, including Neal's Yard Cheeses.
Monmouth Coffee is my favorite coffee in London, hands down. I have been buying their ground coffee for years and always enjoy it at home. I have tried all of their varieties, but the Espresso Blend is my go-to. The freshest coffee can be found at the Bermondsey Branch, where the service is outstanding. Borough Market comes in a close second, but my least favorite is Covent Garden. Unfortunately, the manager there is unprofessional and not very pleasant. She often tries to sell me old coffee that has been roasted for 9-10 days, justifying it by saying she needs to clear out her stock. It's not cheap, at £30 for 1 kg. The manager is stubborn and unable to handle a logical argument, instead blaming innocent staff members. I now make the effort to go to Bermondsey for my coffee, as the customer service there is excellent. Overall, Monmouth Coffee is highly recommended, with the exception of the manager at Covent Garden.
