We loved this restaurant! Great food. Friendly helpful staff. Able to accommodate our group of 11 earlier than our reservation. Kids meals are very reasonable. They also met a last minute special desert request for our group of kids. Very cozy and comfortable! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Fellini Koolini's Italian Cuisini:
Went for our Fri nite date, had not been to Fellini for a number of years , J and our friend had the Londonlicious memo while I opted for the soup and a pizza . The soup was hot and tasty . The pizza was like card board and over cooked . At $18.99 for a small 4 pc pizza not a very good value, my friends enjoyed their entries, however there were several comments that the pasta was not very warm, overall disappointing! Our party of three showed up at around 5:30 for some appies and drinksWe sat in the patio, which was well less than half full, and had to wait 15 minutes, until one of us went to find a server to take our orders. When she finally arrived, she was not pleasant to say the least.Surly and grumpy, she took our drink orders, and retreated to the building.Another 15 minutes passed before she returned with our bevvies, and begrudgingly took our food order.25 minutes later, another server shows up with our food.Underwhelming to say the least.Let us review:One salad was passable, hard to mess that upOne meat appetizer was warm at best, but the plate was scalding, so obviously it stayed under the heat lamps for well too long. The same could be said for the 3 dip sampler .. warmish dips with a thick skin on top, and a very hot plate .. heat lamp over-exposure.The personal pizza was over cooked, over salted, and over priced at $18 for a 10 inch pizzaThe final straw, aside from no customary visits to inquire as to our satisfaction, was that we again had to track down the server to request our billsWhen she finally did arrive, 20 minutes later, she didn't think it would be prudent to bring the interac machine, so another 10 minutes was wasted while she went to retrieve it.Would not recommend this place as there are so many others to choose from in the downtown core
We needed a meal before heading to Sunfest, and as the weather was changing decided to eat inside instead of on the patio. Good choice. The service was quick, the food came at a reasonable time and was good.
Very sad to be asked to leave your patio tonight. I love your food and your service. But tonight I was let down. Everyone downtown knows me cause I am in the hospitality industry. Myself and George my dog are known for eating on patios. Symposium, crabby joes, mthyi grill, kosmos and numerous others. My bill is roughly 70$ when I eat out. We were very disappointed to be asked to leave the runt club tonight. When London made it that patios are allowed dogs on their patio. George is a emotional support dog, helping with stress and anxiety. I wonder if a blind person came with their seeing eye dog.. would they be asked to leave as well. Tonight u lost a loyal customer for awhile. Due to the weather George and I like to sit on patios and because you have amazing burgers we will sadly miss the runt club this summer.
The Runt Club is adjacent to Fellini Koolini's on Albert Street (a side street running east & west between Richmond & Talbot Streets); the two share a kitchen (identical menus), but their atmospheres are completely different--Fellini's is off the wall Italian (Dean Martin & Sophia Loren adorn the walls & empty wine bottles are everywhere) & The Runt Club is a pub (bar stools, big screen TVs, a handful of booths, a bar parked in the center & a pop-corn machine). The menu is extensive, heavily weighted with Italian dishes, none of which have disappointed. I usually build my own "Architect" pizza; there are some interesting (& tasty) toppings not found elsewhere--smoked tomatoes, smoked bacon & jalapeno salami. A 2 piece pizza (with a side) is available at lunch. You can also build your own pasta dish, selecting the noodles, the sauce & the meat & veggie ingredients.Service is friendly & fast, especially if one of the twin ladies is on duty. The popcorn is free, so grab the trowel & load up a basket.
My boyfriend and I both work downtown so we are always trying new restaurants in the core. Today, we decided on The Runt Club. It may have just been a bad day to try it, as many of the other commenters are leaving good reviews, but neither of us were especially happy with our meal. I ordered the beef dip sandwich - it seemed like grocery store grade sliced roast beef on a dry bun. If I hadn't ordered gravy with my fries, I'm not sure that this could be considered a beef DIP. There was no flavour, seasoning or sauce, no onions or peppers, no cheese. The French fries, on the other hand, were really good. Our server was really good. The free popcorn to snack on was a nice touch. There is a small patio space facing the street for warmer days. We easily found paid street parking. Unfortunately, for us it left much to be desired so we probably won't be back.
