Customers appreciated the friendly staff and delicious coffee, while some raised concerns about the food quality and lack of ambiance. Despite some disappointing experiences, the cafe offers a bright and inclusive space that welcomes all, including the homeless population. The menu features a mix of breakfast and lunch items, with standout dishes like crispy hashbrowns and tasty breakfast wraps. Overall, the cafe is seen as a worthwhile destination, especially for those looking for good food and a welcoming atmosphere.
We had a great time at the restaurant and loved the food! Although we felt a bit awkward walking in for the first time, the staff was friendly and helpful. They quickly made us feel comfortable and answered all of our questions. We will definitely be returning in the future!
The food at this restaurant was not good. It was cold, undercooked, and came with cold toast and margarine. I have been a customer here for years, but after this experience, I will not be returning. I decided to give it another chance a week later, but unfortunately, it was still disappointing. I want to make it clear that the staff are wonderful and do their job well, but the quality of the food has noticeably declined.
This cafe is brightly lit and conveniently located, with delicious food and barista beverages. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their products. What I love most is that they not only welcome the homeless to sit inside, but also offer opportunities for patrons to help by purchasing a cup of coffee for someone in need. The act of kindness has been shown over 44,000 times. Despite the significant homeless problem in the city, this business is embracing and supporting those in need, who are not the problem but a symptom of a broken system. Located near a homeless mission, the cafe acknowledges the need for kindness and inclusivity. Wheelchair accessibility is decent - my friend was able to park her scooter outside and use her walker inside, but wheelchairs and scooters could easily maneuver indoors as well.
Always worth the effort to get here. Don’t let the construction hold you back from one of the core area’s best food value’s with a great vibe, excellent food and beverage choices and a wonderful staff. I just popped in whilst doing a drop off and treated myself to an iced and a ? with muffin ?.The lunch and breakfast menu is still a very reasonably priced set of faves cooked fresh using quality ingredients.Whether you are on your own or planning a meet up with friends you need to visit or revisit this core staple.
The chickpea omelette was absolutely delicious! The avocado to eat was really good too.You order and pay at the counter and they bring the food which was cool but we wanted to add another coffee to our order and they didn’t have a machine to bring out to us (we were sitting outside and didn’t want to get up to go in to pay enjoying the sun). The coffee and the smoothies were really good as well.
