Have returned here after a very long time. Food is somewhat below average. When I have had this a very long time, tasted much better. Good was of good quality, just does not seem to stand out much from other curry places. Price was a bit steep, but I understand as of the area they are situated in. Services very good, recommend a few dishes. View all feedback.
Amazing! Picked up to eat at our hotel, so fresh and delicious, best we've eaten in a long time. Referred 4 more groups of travellers from our accommodation and all were impressed too. Lamb Dansak was incredible. Chicken tikka masala also great and naans so fresh!
Although there's large writing on the windows advertising this place, I had to scurry around to find the entrance I misunderstood the sign indicating the doorway is to the left and walked completely around the building before strolling into the hotel and banging on the inside doors seems the entrance is to the left on the corner but the sign indicated past it. I ordered an ordinary lamb curry (was undecided between lamb and chicken but the waiter helped me choose) along with a peas pilau rice, which didn't take long to arrive. I found the curry good, sharp and strong in flavour, accompanied by a nice yellow turmeric flavoured boiled rice with peas and onions, rich in taste and a great side. I didn't bother with any nan; just that on its own was fine for me. When the bill came, for some reason they'd added another couple of drinks onto the bill, which I challenged it was corrected, but it pays to check just in case. I'll certainly revisit if I'm in the area now I know the way in!
I always smell the beautiful curry spices when I get through the restaurant. Today I'm finally over to try the Karaki Lamb Curry and it tastes great. Will definitely visit again!
Great food and great price. Due to late plan changes found myself staying near here. It was a quiet early sunday eve but this place was exactly what I was after. The staff were friendly and attentive. I had the Chicken Hydrabade and it was filling comfort food, mopped up the sauce with a fresh naan.
Really nice restaurant, with attentive staff and great food! I had a starter which was the prawn puri and as mains, mixed biriyani with chana masala as a side dish. The prawn puri was tasty and spicy, you will need to squeeze the lemon on top to even out the spice. The Biriyani was cooked perfectly, it did need a top up of salt, but other than that I thoroughly enjoyed it! The side dish was also great, as it makes the biriyani less dry when eating. On a side note, their Biriyani comes with a side dish included, either dhaal or vegetable. I didn’t know so ordered an extra side. We spent an hour and half at this restaurant with a group of 4 adults and a baby, staff were friendly and helpful and parking is available outside aswell as underground, make sure you let them know you parked there. The bill come through and to be honest, paying £100 for 4 people in the heart of the Isle of dogs is fair. Food was quality and overall experience was satisfactory. This place is a hidden gem, so my advice is to give it a try!
