Best well known restaurant in hackney. They have been there for 15+ years and have always delivered. Would recommend for any occasion. The decor is beautiful and has its own area to suit whatever needs you may have. Great food and wonderful cocktails. View all feedback.
I attended a ladies lunch here today and it was simply deliciousThe ambiance is very peaceful and the service was quick and friendly.
Of the four times I have eaten in Yum Yum I have found the service slow and the food overpriced.
Yum Yum is well, the joke is too easy there, but yes, it's pretty delicious.
Upon ascending the stairs to the bar area, patrons will be struck by the spaciousness of the restaurant, with over 300 covers. The layout is cleverly designed with screens to prevent diners from feeling isolated, creating a functional yet authentic atmosphere wherever they sit. Traditional seating areas require guests to remove their shoes and sit on the floor, enhancing the Far East ambiance with a sunken area and koi pond. The chefs hail from various regions of Thailand, offering a truly authentic and diverse menu. The staff is welcoming and attentive, ensuring a warm experience for all guests. The extensive beverage selection includes cocktails and mocktails crafted with fresh ingredients and handmade mixers, catering to both drinkers and non-drinkers. The menu features a variety of authentic dishes, making it difficult to choose just a few. Diners are encouraged to visit with friends in order to sample more options. Standout dishes include Thai prawn cakes, tom yum goong soup, lamb mussaman, and spicy grated papaya salad. Desserts such as banana fritters with coconut ice cream and Thai coconut roll are must-tries. Overall, the restaurant offers a unique and memorable dining experience, securing its place in the top 10 of Thai restaurants. Don't be surprised if you need a doggy bag or two to bring home leftovers.
The restaurant was decent, but not the greatest. I ordered coconut rice and a steak. The coconut flavor in the rice was too strong for my liking, so I had to send it back and switch it for egg fried rice. The view was stunning. For more information about this restaurant, visit my blog. (hidden link)
