The Lighterman is a decent 'gastropub ' style bar I have used it several times. The food is quirky; the flatbread was great it 's more or less a small pizza TBH. Service is mostly good but a little patchy, but it was quite busy and not really fair to be too crtitical. Great location. View all feedback.
What Pauline Cruickshank doesn't like about The Lighterman:

The lighterman was busy on Monday night 14 november, but the service was fast, efficient and friendly. we enjoyed our burgers and the puddings were good. weinliste more than sufficient. the younger were far apart in the old and this reflected the appeal of the lighterman to many and diverse groups that we will go back.
Only the most amazing personal! we came to our table 45 minutes early, but they took us up and although the kitchen was closed for an hour, the waitress knew that we were ravenous, so highlighted that it made the most delicious flatbreads available. already booked to return.
Roasts are very overpriced, gravur was thin and quite tasteless, has not saved and for almost 20 pfund it is not worth.
Great night celebrating a friends birthday, delicious cocktails and flatbread
Quite frankly the best vegan burger I’ve ever eaten. Lively venue both inside and outside, great outdoor spaces. Looking forward to going back.
